Benefits of Tai Chi

Balance

Improve your balance confidence.

Spending time being aware of how your weight shifts as you move slowly and with purposeful intention from foot to foot will help you maintain a steady rooted feeling all the time you're on your feet.

Relaxation

Disengage from the busy world.

Take some time and concentrate on nothing else other than how it feels not to have to think about anything other than moving.

Cognition

Clear your mind.

Meditation helps you focus and concentrate on tasks throughout the day. Stay on track for longer.

About

I started practicing tai chi in 2009, learning from Martin Fayers, Mike Taylor, Therese Teo Mei Mei and Yang Jun. My studies continue while I pass on what I have learnt, teaching Traditional Yang Style (Long Form) since 2017. The classes are friendly and informal, teaching is matched to the ability of all present. Wear loose comfortable clothing, flat soled footwear, bring water if required. One to one tuition or small group practice is available on request if there are no classes currently near you.
